Spend an evening of working on, or even finishing up projects.Large ironing table, cutting table, instructor with advice, for your convenience.

 

STITCH with FRIENDS
 Fridays,  January 11, February 8, March 8, & April 12,  5:00-midnight      
Fee: $15/no discount
Spend Friday nights working on your unfinished projects with other quilting friends! An instructor will be on hand to help with any questions.

 

STAR STORM
Fridays, January 11,18, & 25, 10:00-1:00 p.m.  
Fee: $50/$37.50 BCP
Choose from original size star, using  sports fabric (or any coordinating fabric or choose the new mini size made from 2 1/5” strips. Dallas Cowboys are hot, and we have the fabric!
Make a sport’s fan happy.


FUN with LOG CABINS
Saturdays, January 19, February 16, March 16, & April 20, 9:00-1:00 p.m.     
Fee: $60/$45 BCP
Spend a few hours sewing and learning new designs and different  types of log cabin settings.

 

 

BEGINNING ENGLISH PAPER PIECING
Mondays, January 7, February 4, March 4, & April 8, 1:00-4:00 p.m. 
Fee: $60/$45 BCP
Start with a basic hexagon project to learn various techniques for English Paper Piecing.  EPP is a great “on-the-go”project.”

 

BEGINNING PIECING
Mondays, January 21, 28, February 18,  & 25, 1:00-4:00 p.m.  
Fee: $60/$45 BCP
A class for the new quilter who wants to learn basic steps of quilting. Learn how to use a rotary cutter, a ruler correctly,  how to sew a 1/4” seam allowance, how to create blocks and borders for your sofa-size quilt top



BEYOND the BASICS l (Intermediate)
Mondays, January 21, 28, February 18, & 25, 6:00-9:00 p.m.    
Fee: $60/$45. BCP
A friendship group where everyone works on individual projects with help from the instructor. Tips and special techniques for an intermediate quilter.

 

TJ’S QUILT CAMP
Friday, January 25. 2:00-11:00 pm..  Saturday, January 26, 10:00-9:00 p.m., Sunday, January 27, 10:00-4:00-p.m.
Fee: $125./$93.75 BCP
Quilt Camp is a retreat where you work on your own projects, visit and laugh, while someone prepares your meals, and you get to sleep in your own bed. Then come back again for 2 more days. This is a great get away time!

90 DAY STASH  CHALLENGE #1

90-DAY STASH CHALLENGE 2

This class is for those quilters that got their “feet” wet with Challenge I.  This session will give more ideas and challenges.  So grab your notebook and come for some more challenges.

 

MY 1ST QUILT
ITuesdays, February 5, 12, 19, 26,  6:00-9:00 p.m.
Fee: $60/$45 BCP
New to the quilting world?  This class is designed for a person who is interested in learning the basic steps to beginning quilting. If you’ve been quilting a long time and have never taken a fundamental class, this class will meet your needs too. In the 4-week course, you will learn to use a rotary cutter and ruler accurately, perfect your seam allowances, and add sashing and flat borders-all while completing a 12 block quilt top.

FABRIC COLLAGE
Friday, February 8, 10:00-4:00 p.m.
Fee: $35/$26.25 BCP
Choose your pattern, bring lots of scraps and have fun with a collage.  Even if you’ve done it before, this is a great time to have dedicated time for work and picking up some new hints.

 

CUCKOO for Elizabeth
Sundays, February 10 & 17, noon-3:00   OR 
Wednesdays, February 13 & 20, 6:00-9:00 p.m.

One of Elizabeth Hartman’s newest designs.  This pattern is a great addition to the other Hartman designs. You may also choose any of her designs to do in class. 

 

MIRAGE

A new and beautiful circular design by Laurie Shifrin.  A great class for pre-cut 2 1/5” strips.

 

BOOK NERD
Fridays, March 1 & 8, 10:00-1:00 p.m.

Make this fun book quilt for your favorite  reader.  Simple foundation paper piecing techniques will be taught.

 

MACHINE  APPLIQUÉ   
Wednesday, March 6, 6:00-9:00 p.m. 
Fee: $25/$18.75 BCP
Learn the tips and tricks for machine applique.  All you need is an adjustable zig-zag or blanket stitch  on your machine. This is a technique you will love when you see how easy it is.

 


CENTERPOINT
Saturday, March 9, 1:00-6:00 p.m.

A beautiful quilt using 2 1/5” strips of your favorite fabric. The size is 50”x 70”, and you will perfect a few half-square triangles!

BORDERS, BACKINGS, & BINDING

Stitch this colorful sewing machine for your wall. This is a piecing project, and great for using your scraps or coordinating fabrics.

 

FAN FAIRE

Simple yet stunning! You will make 2 blocks per class. Every block  teaches you a new way to use the Creative Grids 60 Degree Diamond Ruler. Size: 66” x 79”.


TRADITIONAL LOG CABIN
Tuesdays, April 23 & 30, 6:00-9:00p.m 
Fee:  $35/$26.25 BCP
This traditional log cabin design is sewn by adding patches in a clockwise direction around a center square. Patches on one side of the block are lighter than the other, creating a diagonal division in the finished block.

LOVE TO DO COMMUNITY PROJECTS ?
Come and join the 2nd Thursday of the month Friendship Group.  This group starts 6:00-7:30 p.m. but stays later if they are working on projects.  FREE

WANT TO USE OUR CLASSROOM
2nd Tuesday of every month (excluding January) quilters meet to work on personal projects from 10:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. They share with each other, have coffee, use the large ironing board table, and cutting area. Sometimes during this get togethers, The Old Craft Store Staff does demonstrations!  FREE

WOOL HOOKERS meet the 2, 3, and 4th weeks of the month.  We call them “Hookers” but they do lots of other craft projects and share with each other.  Time  is 10:30 a.m.-3:00 p.m. Janet Kirch is the coordinator. For more information call The Old Craft Store 972 242 9111.
